During October, 19 Regiment Royal Artillery (RA) completed an intense week of JTAC training and validation utilising Nautilus Internationals accredited Cobra Simulator. The week was designed to develop and test Certified JTAC’s in complex Non Permissive scenarios, culminating with Joint Air Land Organisation (JALO) STANEVAL Certified and Qualified (CQ) Checks. Simulated training enables JTAC’s to work in a multi-platform, Joint Fires environment at a fraction of the cost, by using the Cobra Simulator 19 Regt RA were able to achieve CQ status saving man hours and logistics. 255 Bty RA (Bath) Reserves were also able to exploit the training opportunity, completing CQ JTAC Annual Evaluation during the same period.
