Judgemental Training Simulators – Green Screen Recording
How easy is it to film topical threat scenarios, specific to CT in the UK, using 4K spec cameras and a green screen recording studio? Not as hard as you may think!
Last week we had privileged access to the green screen recording studio, with thanks to Bournemouth & Poole College, under the direction of the creative digital media team & learning manager Steve Bell. Bringing one of our closely guarded secrets and video camera equipment plus expertise provided by Carl, former serviceman & RN Photographer, founder and Director of Driftwood Media Productions.
So why are we getting involved in filming actors in a green screen recording studio? For those of you have been following some of our other social media posts, you will be aware that we have been pushing to get the best technology money can buy in support of the UK MOD, Law Enforcement and other agencies. So, we have partnered with the only company who can produce the goods to the level and standard that is required and that is a company called VirTra. These pre-captured images or videos can literally be anywhere, London, Poole, inside of a shopping mall, train station or tube station.
Although the first Video you watched may look a little ‘Lord of the Rings’ the real video output certainly does not. The scenarios we created are not for public consumption. Sadly, with the most recent terrorist related attack happening again on the streets of London, scenarios must evolve quickly to enable the threats our Militaries, Law Enforcement officers and Security Services face with expediency. Knowing now that we can draw upon local expertise to create these threat specific scenarios, all of which is on our doorstep, is going to make the introduction of the VirTra V-300™ into the UK certainly a very exciting start to the new year.
