Clinical Medical Simulation Subject Matter Expert

Nautilus International Risk Consultants Ltd specialises in providing all aspects of simulation support and services to the UK Defence & Military, Law Enforcement, Security Services and Civil Nuclear industries. Using state of the art medical simulation technologies, we are helping to train and maintain medical skill sets whilst reducing training costs. Founded in 2005, we are an established innovative UK company developing exciting medical simulation capabilities.

Who we’re looking for:

The applicants should be from a military background with a minimum of 6 years’ experience. They should be technically minded, with evidential clinical and medical skill sets with a desire to expand their current knowledge and experience within a high tempo training environment. The ideal candidate will have relevant medical qualifications and be willing to learn new medical simulation technologies. Applicants will be required to be security vetted.

Essential

  • In depth medical knowledge of physiology and anatomy plus the MARCH and CABCDE principles
  • Recent Military Medical background with a proven track record
  • Qualified to a minimum of a Certificate in Emergency Care Assistance up to IHCD NHS Standards
  • Minimum of 500hrs experience working in a clinical medical environment
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Technical and logical minded person with good problem solving skills.
  • Would be required to live locally in the Poole / Bournemouth area or within 1 hour commuting distance.
  • Content to be independently interviewed and provide personal information to obtain classified security clearances.
  • Full UK clean driving license
  • Information Technology Literate with Microsoft windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 2016 and European Computer Driving License.

Desirable

  • Experience with former employment relevant to medical simulation technologies
  • General understanding of casualty simulation (CASSIM), moulages, medical special effects, and triage.
  • Ability to work both in the UK & Overseas.
  • Experience with other relevant medical simulation technologies
  • Minimum of 1 x A level, 3 GSCE’s in core subjects of grades no less than C
