SimMan 3G Trauma & PLUS can display the signs and symptoms of any trauma-related injury including most neurological and physiological signs. SimMan was designed to deliver the most advanced realistic medical training possible and is cutting-edge next-generation
technology. Used by the UK Military, UK Law Enforcement, NHS, Emergency services, and other first responders, SimMan brings unrivalled medical simulation to any exercise requiring medical training, evaluation, and re-validation. SimMan is designed to work in outdoor environments and is the perfect choice for Medical Simulation Training. SimMan accurately Simulates Trauma casualties involved in Road Traffic Collisions or Mass Casualties, presenting with Blunt Trauma, Blast or IED injuries, Gun Shot or Stab injuries, and complex CBRN environments.
SimMan is delivered as a managed service in the UK or overseas and comes with a fully qualified Medically Trained Technician. SimMan can test all elements of a medical response team, from the point of injury (Patrol Medic/Paramedic) to the method of casualty evacuation (Helicopter/Ambulance) and beyond towards the field hospital or NHS Accident & Emergency department, and ultimately into the operating theatre. SimMan can be used to validate most Medical Training scenarios requiring validation. These include training the first person on the scene, airway management through to CPR Medical training includes testing fully qualified Paramedics in performing life-saving roadside surgical procedures, as well as training in-the-air Damage Control Surgery for Light Surgical Teams forward.
Live actors are used to providing mass casualty simulation whereby one or more of the casualties need to be present. Live actors in conjunction with our in-house special effects professional make-up artist and simulated blood products, can be made up to represent traumatic amputations, massive hemorrhaging, or present other specific injuries. SimBodies or SimBody parts are used to further enhance medical training by complementing the use of live actors and SimMan. Mass casualty incidents, exercises, or events, with large numbers of fatalities, typically require simulation bodies and simulated body parts. Live actors are replaced with SimBodies or SimBody parts whereby prolonged periods are required for casualties to lay on the ground until the event is brought under control. SimBodies or SimBody parts are inexpensive to hire and deliver mass-casualty effects without the costly welfare issues associated with utilising a live actor.
